INFORMATION ON THE STATE-RECOGNISED EUROEXAM LANGUAGE EXAM

Shetland U.K. Language School is a Euroexam accredited exam centre. This means that you can not only prepare for the exam, but also take the exam here. Of course, you can still come to us to take the exam even if you have not prepared here.

The Euroexam is accredited, so it is suitable for university and college admissions, as well as for the diploma and language supplement. It is also a European Language Award-winning language exam, which meets today's educational and professional needs.

The exam asks you to solve real-life problems, using only as much grammar as you need in real life. You can use a dictionary, and you can take the test with a friend. According to the participants, the exam is short and practical. Moreover, Euroexam language exams provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you have dyslexia, dysgraphia, visual or hearing impairmentl.

Accredited test languages: English, German (B1, B2, C1 - monolingual and bilingual)

Examination Types:

How to prepare for the exam?

Exam preparation:

Our language school offers special, 40-hour long exam preparation courses indít az angol B2 (középfok) és a C1 (felsőfok) vizsgákra, amelynek célja megismerkedni a vizsga feladataival, vizsgatippek adása. A tanfolyamok időpontja a vizsgákat megelőző két hét. Órák menete: naponta 17.00-20.15 (tanév idején) 9:00-12:15 (nyári szünetben). Tandíj: 84.000 Ft / 40 óra (tartalmazza a tananyagot is).

Conditions for applying for the exam

  • The exam is open to anyone who will be 14 years old in the year of the exam and whose mother tongue is not English.
  • Candidates may not be required to take a placement test and may not be excluded from the test by other restrictions.
  • You can apply for a specific type (complex, speaking only, written only) and level (B1, B2 or C1) of exam. Registration is valid upon completion of the Application Form and payment of the examination fee.

Evaluation of the exams

To pass the exam, you must have a minimum aggregate score of 60% and a minimum score of 40% in each part of the exam. The written tasks assessing a productive skills are always corrected and evaluated by a specialist Euroexam Exam Centre.
If the final score is within the two percentile required for a pass mark, the subjective assessment tasks (writing, mediation) will also be assessed by the main examiners.
In other cases, the main examiners will check the proper correction of the tasks on a random basis, reserving the right to make a final decision in case of disagreement or doubt.
Speaking examinations may be marked by examiners appointed by the examination centre who have appropriate training and experience. Speaking examinations are conducted by two examiners at the same time.

Results, certificate

Upon successful completion of the examination, the candidate will receive a Hungarian nationally accredited and international certificate, which include the results achieved in the examination sections.
Results can be obtained on the 20th working day after the exam at the examination centres or by entering the candidate's individual code on the website of the Examination Centre (www.euroexam.org).
When you pass the exam, you will be able to obtain a state-recognised certificate from the examination centres from the eighth week after the exam.

Re-taking the exam

An unlimited number of full, speaking and written exams can be repeated, subject to re-registration and payment.

Candidates who are disqualified for unsatisfactory conduct may retake the exam after 13 months from the date of the exam.

  • 12:10-12:45 MEDIATION (only for bilingual exam candidates)

EUROEXAM B2

  • 10:25-11:35 WRITING 
  • 11:50-12:25 LISTENING
  • 12:30-13:05 MEDIATION (only for bilingual candidates)

EUROEXAM C1

  • 9:10 Proposed arrival
  • 9:30-10:30 READING
  • 10:35-11:45 WRITING 
  • 12:00-12:45 LISTENING
  • 12:50-13:35 MEDIATION (only for bilingual exam candidates)

In all three cases, the speaking part of the tests start after 1 pm, according to timetable.
